Why this series exists
It began with return trips to Chicago, nearly nine years after settling in the West Coast. Each visit became a unique experience: it started when my wife and I visited two restaurants that taught us more than recipes ever could, one reunion with a multi-talented Chicago native actress friend, and a camera that never stayed in its bag.
Those moments sparked a simple question—what if I brought that same hunger for connection back where I live? Fascinating People of the Bay Area is that question answered. Through my lens, I’m documenting the makers, givers, performers, doers and the quiet brilliant souls who make this region feel alive. Come meet them with me.
